The '''The Akefu Raids''' were a series of attacks against the server that lasted from early May 2022 to late June 2022. The attacks were orchestrated by multiple members of the community at the time and consisted primarily of theusing usage ofthrowaway accounts fromacquired thevia [[The Altening, a free alt account service]] to spam the chat of the server, with the goal of making the server inhospitableunusable to players. Other attacks would involve attempts to crash the server using commonly abused exploits. The attacks were orchestrated by the [[Granite Castle]], a friend group consisting primarily of disgruntled players and staff members. During the investigation, most of the group's members were suspended (if they were staff) and later banned without the ability to appeal due to their involvement.
