Mark was introduced to Minecraft by '''[[Community:Madgeek1450'''|Madgeek1450]], a friend of his from Second Life. Seeing the potential of a Minecraft server, he created what would become TotalFreedom on November 11, 2010. At the time, it was an 8 player slot server and was divided into two separate servers: "Hell" and "Earth".

Fed up with the atmosphere the server had at the time, Mark closed the server down on May 21, 2017 for a whole day and posted a thread on the forums about the whole situation, threatening to close the server as a whole if the atmosphere did not clear up.
