TotalFreedomMod was the core plugin of TotalFreedom. Originally developed in late 2011 and maintained until the server's closure in 2023, it established a foundation for a free-OP server that used its own proprietary ranking system to grant permissions rather than the Bukkit permission system.

FrontDoor

Designed for amateur server operators or people who like to take the binary copies of the TotalFreedomMod and claim it as their own work. It connects to a hidden blacklist that Prozza and (supposedly) Madgeek1450 control, and if it detects that the IP address, port, and other things are in the blacklist, the plugin acts like a poison plugin and triggers the "evil mode".

When the "evil mode" is enabled, the following message appears:

*****************************************************
* WARNING: TotalFreedomMod is running in evil-mode! *
* This might result in unexpected behaviour... *

* The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil *
* is for good men to do nothing. *

Evil Mode Behavior

The Evil Mode causes TotalFreedomMod to behave in a disruptive manner. It gets a random number, and each number does different things.

# Action
0 Adds a random player to the Super Admin list.
1 Bans a random player.
2 Starts to trail a random player.
3 Displays a message in the chat promoting TotalFreedom.
4 Clears the banlist.
5 Enables water and lava placement as well as fluid spread.
6 Enables fire placement, fire spread, and explosives.
7 Unblocks all blocked commands.
8 Removes all the area protections.
9 Places signs promoting TotalFreedom around and at the spawnpoint.
10 Enables the jump pads.
11 Gives everyone a book titled "Why you should go to TotalFreedom instead", authored by "SERVER OWNER", and the contents of the book is basically a promotion for TotalFreedom.
12 Supposedly wiping the whitelist. There isn't any code that wipes the whitelist.
13 Announces in the chat that the plugin is in the "evil mode".
14 Cages a random player in PURE_DARTH.
15 Silently orbits a random player.
16 Disables the anti-nuker.
17 Sets everyone's tag to "[TotalFreedom]".
