"It's not about credit or discredit, it's about copyright of TFM.

Looking at Plex's source code, it looks like a bunch of copy-pasted source code from TFM and Aero (utility plugin). You just put it under a different license and pretended it's yours.

You can't simpy do that. You have to remove all parts which infringe on the TFM license (as per the TFM repository) and the Aero License (as per the Aero repository) or otherwise comply to the license requirements." - Prozza

Telesphoreo was a Developer and former admin. He initially joined the community on November 13, 2013. In game, he was known for being a troll and crashing the server using WorldEdit. He also spent a significant amount of time on the ProBoards forum and had one of the highest post counts on the ProBoards forum. He applied for Super Admin in 2014, and did not apply for Telnet Admin until 2016.

History

Super Admin (2014 - 2016)

Telesphoreo applied for Super Admin in October 2014. His application was met with mixed votes. He was TPaS'd by player godzilla.

Telnet Admin (2016-2019)

Telesphoreo applied for Telnet Admin on March 6, 2016. His application was overwhelmingly positive and was approved on April 18, 2016. He applied for Telnet Clan on May 3, 2018 and his application was approved.

Senior Admin (2022)

In June 2022, Telesphoreo applied for Senior Admin. His application did not get many votes. Due to this and the policy regarding applications, it was automatically denied with only one objection.

Developer

Telesphoreo started contributing significantly to TotalFreedomMod in June of 2018 helping scripthead with the 1.13 update and API changes. He made other plugins such as Wave, which intended to be a permission system that worked with TotalFreedomMod's true op system. In mid-2020, scripthead appointed Telesphoreo to the Lead Developer role. However, he did not stay in this role for long due to disagreements with the new Owner, Wild1145. He made a thread detailing why the server should use the Pterodactyl panel and after other disagreements, he stepped down. During this period of time, scripthead switched from ProBoards to MyBB which ended up being a disaster. The MyBB forum was quickly scrapped and Flarum was used instead, a decision that was significantly influenced by Telesphoreo. In October 2020, the same day scripthead deleted the server, he teased a new plugin called Plex. The plugin initially received much controversy due to it not being open sourced originally and the highly secretive development. In January 2022, Plex was open sourced and the first beta was released. Throughout 2022, many betas of Plex were released. The plugin was released later that year, fully open sourced, under the GNUv3 license.

Wiki (2023 - Present)

Currently, Telesphoreo is not that active in game. Nowadays, he is known for posting on the Wordle thread daily. On August 13, 2023, he bought the https://totalfreedom.wiki domain and setup MediaWiki. The reason he bought the domain was because it was incredibly cheap and wanted a testing environment for the MediaWiki software. However, just five days later, the TotalFreedom network would be shut down and the need for a wiki became present to preserve the servers history. He is an Administrator on the wiki.

SMP Server

Telesphoreo ran the TotalFreedom SMP server starting in early 2020. Many custom plugins were made for the SMP by other developers and him that would add custom mobs and other gameplay changes. He initially only hosted it and fionn was the owner. Fionn stepped down and Telesphoreo was put in charge as the new owner as he was the one paying for the server. The SMP server was initially extremely popular and consistently had 30 players online. However, as the hype died down, interest was lost and development and advertising efforts stopped. The SMP server was transferred to other community members around November 2020.
